Heart Behind DTS Staffing

 Dear Family and Friends,

I want to first thank all of you who supported me as I did my DTS- whether it was through giving financially, sending encouragement, or through prayer, thank you all so much! 

DTS was an amazing experience and so life changing. I learned so much about who God is in all His glory and also the heart that He has given me. 

This being said, I feel like God is leading me into joining staff at YWAM Montana in the DTS department for two years. In this, I would be leading other teams overseas while joining YWAM Montana as they continue in the vision God has given them. The Lord gave me a heart for walking others through what I just walked through in DTS along with encouraging them and challenging them in their walk with God. I realized I can not just go back home to “regular life” because He is calling me to be a missionary and go to the nations. I have learned the cost of discipleship. Following Christ comes with a cost, and for me, that cost is laying down my job that I loved and entering into living off of support. Through this, God is teaching me what it means to live by faith and trust Him with all my needs. Although it will be challenging at times, I have realized how worthy Christ is of my sacrifice, and I am choosing to give Him my yes. I am walking out in faith and believing that the Lord will provide what I need in this season. He is also helping me realize I cannot do this alone, and I need to let other people in to help me and support my mission and what the Lord is doing through me.
