Update #2
Hey Y'all!
I hope everyone is doing really well! I miss you guys so much! I am still trying to figure out how to stay connected with everyone, so I apologize for not communicating much. If you ever want to talk, feel free to reach out to me whenever, and I will try to talk to you at some point!
LECTURES: So much has already happened in these 2 weeks that I have been here! The Lord has been teaching me so much every single day. I am loving our lectures here as well. We already talked about the "nature and character of God" along with having "resilient faith in our cultural movement." This week we are talking about "deciphering God's voice." The speakers we had so far have just been so amazing! Last week was super cool because I felt like the things I was wrestling with during my quiet times, the speaker spoke right into it every day! It was such a powerful week for me, and I have started viewing things in new ways because of it. This week, I will be walking around with a penny in my shoe everywhere I go. We as a DTS are doing this as a reminder that God is with us everywhere we go. As we walk and feel the penny, we are talking with God saying things like, "God, I know you are with me. What do you want to speak to me right now?"
OUTREACH: For those of you who have not heard, I am going to CAMBODIA for outreach!! I am beyond excited about what the Lord does in this time. There will also be two other groups heading out to Taiwan. It has already been so cool how the Lord has been so distinctly speaking to all of us about the outreach locations. The staff received so much clarity about what countries they were to send us to, and which team each one of them should be a part of. All of us students also prayed about where we were to go as well, and the numbers worked out perfectly! I personally felt so much confirmation about selecting team Cambodia as my top choice. I am also super excited about the people in my group!
I absolutely love the community here at YWAM Montana! This past Saturday was a lot of fun! A few of us DTS students headed up to Glacier Park, and it was truly amazing! We went on a 9 mile hike as well. Half the group wanted to turn around at mile 2, but we were able to convince them to continue, and it was so worth it!
Prayer requests: I gave myself food poisoning on Sunday night, so it was a bit of a rough start to the week, peace and protection over all of us, warmth for those of us who are not used to cold weather, and for us all to continue to build relationships and seek the Lord!
Blessings to you all!
Ashley :)
